Model 106-M Ozone Monitor

The Model 106-M is a versatile medium-range (0-1,000 ppm) ozone analyzer designed for industrial applications ranging from off-gas measurements in water treatment plants to the use of ozone to prevent ripening of fruits and vegetables. Our Model 106-M uses the UV-absorption measurement technique to produce highly accurate measurements (± 2%).

  • Available in a Standard (Benchtop Enclosure), Industrial/NEMA Enclosure, or as an OEM
  • Widely used in applications involving ozone disinfection/sterilization of hospital rooms, cruise ship cabins, and workspaces
  • Optional corrosion-resistant modification for use with ozone generators where feed gas is air instead of oxygen

Overview

The Model 106-M Ozone Monitor is designed for measurements of ozone in the range 0-1,000 ppm with a resolution of 0.01 ppm. This highly accurate ozone monitor has been widely used around the globe since 2006 by industrial customers looking to measure medium-range concentrations of ozone.

About the 106 Series:

  • Designed for industrial ozone applications to cover four different ozone concentration ranges by varying the optical path length.
  • Highly robust and easy to service; all components are mounted directly to the printed circuit board with few wire connection
  • Available in the three following configurations: Standard Enclosure, Industrial Enclosure, or with no enclosure (OEM version)
  • Industrial/NEMA Enclosure is available with single channel, three channel, or six channel sampling manifolds (106-H only available as single channel)

Case Studies

This research investigated how the wavelengths of light emitted by mercury lamps affects radical generation and chemistry in an oxidation flow reactor. Different types of lamps were designed and tested, and the Model 106-M Ozone Monitor measured the ozone concentration at the exit of the flow reactor. Empirical estimation equations could be used to predict the hydroxyl radical production, a much simpler approach than using photochemical models.
